Specifications
Basic Information
- Make
- Mazda
- Model
- MX-3
- Year
- 1993
- Description
- One of the last pre-lifts of MX-3 for the German market. It's also pretty much a top 1-2% of the richest specs you could get this car in (considering it's a 1.6 SOHC with such specs) It has: - (optional) • ABS • Four-wheel disc brakes (standard 1.6 usually had rear drums) • Air conditioning • Electric sunroof • Factory rear spoiler • Electric mirrors • Leather steering wheel (now with an additional cover) • Central locking system • Illuminated door lock cylinder • Automatic transmission - (Standard) • Cloth upholstery • No airbags • Cassette radio • Hydraulic power steering - (Unusual Even for V6 Models) • Combination of automatic transmission + ABS + four-wheel disc brakes in a 1.6 • Heated seat wiring without the heaters installed (factory prewiring, typically found in US-spec MX-3, occasionally in German “Winterset” package) Now additionaly equipped with "Halo" headlights, new LPG system and V6 type front bumper with a front lip
Build Story & Project Info
- Build Story
- Since I was little, I always loved Japanese cars, that was mostly influenced by Need for Speed games and Fast and Furious series. When I finaly could get my own driving license, I was looking for a car that would stand out in the crowd but at the same time could be reliable and practical (because my parents didn't want me to buy a problematic car) I really wanted an Eclipse, Galant, even V6 Camry, but after some time I found a car on FB Marketplace, I was confused- "what the hell is a Mazda MX-3??" -I thought to myself. Did some basic research (and completely forgot to check info about the automatic tranny... They're real bad btw but I'll let it slide cuz she still can take me anywhere I want to go, just at a slower pace when she's got an error) and then I was like- damn, I gotta get this one! And so it happened. Bought her in late 2023 in Poznań city, 2 weeks later on a public parking lot she suffered fire damage on her front bumper, right wheel arch, right front turn signals and right side mirror (someone lit up a van next to her on purpose) That's how she ended up getting a fresh paintwork in early 2024, since then I couldn't afford much except a new LPG system with a bigger gas tank. In 2026 and on, I've planned bigger changes for her :) The build cost is definetly bigger than what I've put here, but since this is already crazy to me, I'll stop counting on 20k PLN ... x_x
